Will has over a year working in the NGO space building the world's first dedicated reporting software for reporting Human/Wildlife Conflicts, VirtualRanger. VirtualRanger is currently being used in the Masai Mara, Kenya for its pilot program with plans to expand globally to serve Africa, Asia, North America and South America.

Sam has over three years of experience in marketing and community building; founding a group that supports start-ups in scaling their impact, lecturing on social enterprise, and leading one of Reading’s largest student societies. He brings expertise in storytelling, public speaking, and digital media to help NGOs grow awareness and engagement across global audiences.

Who Is Eligible For the Google Grant

To qualify, your organisation must:

  • Be a registered charity in the UK (with the Charity Commission, OSCR in Scotland, or CCNI in Northern Ireland).

  • Hold valid charity status (CIOs, trusts, and foundations are eligible).

  • Have a high-quality website that meets Google’s requirements (SSL, secure HTTPS, clear mission, no broken links, strong user experience, and relevant content).

  • Agree to Google’s programme policies, including non-profit status verification through TechSoup.

Not eligible: government bodies, hospitals, medical groups, and schools/universities.

What are the Benefits of the Google Grant?

Can We Lose the Grant once Approved?

Yes, If your Google Ads don't hit Google's KPIs then Google can suspended your Google Ad Grant.

Googles KPIs are:

  • Ads must maintain a clickthrough rate of 5%.

  • Conversion tracking must be setup correctly.

  • Monthly logins and activity.
